Healthy Hairstyles
For your wedding day choose a stylist who behaves in a professional manner and
has confidence in her hairstyle products. A stylist who keeps you informed about what you
need in shape, color and hairstyle care, and also offers you choices to achieve the result
you want.
A great wedding hairstyle will look great
when you do it, not just when the stylist does.
Avoid a Bad Hair Day
A bad wedding hair day or the wrong lipstick could make you cringe when you see
the photos. Photographers sometimes get the blame for amateur work, so remember that
preparation and choosing professional stylists with care are the keys. Then you will
be able to face your wedding photographer knowing you look your absolute best.
Choosing a Makeup Artist
On your wedding day you will probably use a professional makeup artist. If it is
possible have a trial run before hand so you can experience what he or she can do (and how
long the makeup is likely to stay fresh on your wedding day).
Discuss with your makeup artist and hair
stylist what you plan to do with wedding flowers, veils, headpieces and your gown.
Treat Yourself to a Facial
Either do this yourself or visit a beauty therapist. Clean, steam, scrub and
tone. Massage and mask. It feels great, really peps up the skin and stimulates cell
production.
Look After Yourself
Being a beautiful bride does not depend soley on your hairdo and makeup on
the wedding day. Your pre wedding lifestyle and personal habits have as much effect as
beauty technique.
Sleep
Lots of it. Try to get plenty of early nights.
Eat
Try to eat good wholesome food as natural and unprocessed as possible. You
can cut down on a little meat and dairy products. If this is a big change in your diet
then doing it a week or so before the wedding will have little effect.
Drink
Lots of it. You can't drink too much water and most of us drink too little. Don't
wait until you are thirsty. Water flushes the kidneys and that reflects in your skin. The
less alcohol you consume before the days and weeks before your wedding the better.
